StatVia is built privacy-first — not as a policy bolted on afterwards, but as the way the product works. This page explains, in plain language, what we do and don't do with your data. StatVia is currently in pre-launch, so this page will be replaced by a full, formal privacy policy before the product is generally available.
The short version
- Your raw data is analysed on your own device and is never uploaded to our servers.
- Your data is never used to train, fine-tune or improve any AI model — ours or anyone else's.
- The AI interpretation layer only ever receives the minimal information needed to explain a result — never your raw dataset.
- Organisations can bring their own model key, so even that traffic stays inside their own boundary.
This website
Right now, statvia.pt is a simple landing page. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you give us for a single purpose: to tell you when StatVia launches. We don't sell it, we don't share it, and we don't use it for anything else. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing jose.castro@statvia.pt. We don't run advertising or third-party tracking on this site.
The StatVia app (at launch)
When the app is available, this is how it will handle your data:
- On-device computation. The statistical analysis runs locally on your machine, so your raw data never leaves your device.
- Minimal information for interpretation. To explain a result in plain language, StatVia sends only the information required for that explanation — for example summary results — to our AI processor. It never sends your raw dataset.
- No training on your data. Anything sent for interpretation is used solely to generate your result and is never used to train or improve any model.
- Bring-your-own-key. Organisations can use their own model key so that even interpretation traffic stays within their own infrastructure.
- GDPR-aligned. We design for the GDPR, including your rights to access, correct and delete your personal data.
